Let’s make the Good Neighbor Village a reality
At the heart of our community, something remarkable is happening.
Tacoma Rescue Mission is building a unique village that will provide sustainable care, communal support, and dignified living to our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness. While Good Neighbor Village will one day be self-sustaining through income streams like housing, veteran benefits, choice vouchers, and rental income, right now we need your help to reach our financial next steps.
Next Steps: Fundraising
The Tacoma Rescue Mission is championing the fundraising efforts for the Good Neighbor Village. Securing gifts and signed pledges is essential in reaching our ongoing benchmarks.
- TRM is committed to raising over $50 million over the next 6 years in donations and in-kind services from the community to pay for start-up and infrastructure costs.
- Pierce County has allocated $22 million toward the project and will release all the funds over the next 12 months. These funds will go toward infrastructure needs like engineering, roads, sewer, and power.
We hope you’re inspired to get involved with this groundbreaking project.
